Mayan Palace Vallarta
Welcome to a vacationer’s paradise.
We had a geat time at the Myan Palace
Ok, so I read all the reviews before I left for Mexico on the 20th of May and I was terrified. I almost considered booking with a different hotel, but decided to take me chances. The Mayan Palace was GREAT, and the staff was VERY friendly. We arrived to PV on the 20th of May at almost Midnight and even then the staff was friendly, the bellboys wouldn’t let us lift a finger, and the front desk got us into our rooms very efficiently and quickly. We were never forced to participate in timeshare events and were not treated differently for not participating. We spent a lot of our days by the pool and they always had activities going, some were a little corny, but they sure tried. The pool side staff was always very friendly, sometimes it would take them a little while to tend to us but it was understandable. You never saw them just standing around they were always constantly moving. I only ask one favor, if you go to the Mayan Palace or any other hotel, please don’t whistle to the staff, they are not dogs or your personal butlers, just politely raise your hand when they look in your direction and they will get to you as soon as they can, I’m sure. Food at the pool was pretty good for the most part; I would only suggest staying away from the Mexican Wrap. The combination of ingredients wasn’t very tasty, but the little chicken tacos and Fish Ceviche were YUMMY! Breakfast was also very good, a little pricey for a continental breakfast but your on vacation, it wasn’t very authentic though. The rooms were always cleaned on time and they would come around in the evening to turn down your bed for you. I wouldn’t let them, but I did take the Hershey kisses they brought us every night. I must say I really have NOTHING to complain about, everything was great and the staff was ready to help. Every time we walked out the front door, we were swarmed with bellboys trying to help us and be at our service, so half way through our week we discovered the side door exit and entrance to avoid them unless we needed a Taxi. I didn’t mind the help; I just didn’t really need it. All in all I would strongly recommend this place. The pictures on thier site aren’t very accurate, it’s better then that, so I added some pictures for you to see.
