Mayan Palace Vallarta

Welcome to a vacationer’s paradise.

Clean place, well kept, great staff!

Place was super clean!!! Rooms were immaculate! Beds & beddings were kept well, bathrooms were clean, there were enough towels, pillow & sheets/blankets for everyone! House keeping non-english speaking but very kind! Bell boys/bus boys also very friendly! People @ the front desk could be more attentive & maybe try not focusing so much on “timeshare” issues. But the other employees of the resort were super!!!!

They were all great…can’t complain about customer service when it comes to the bell/bus boys, wait staff & house keeping!!!
The resort was HUGE!!! And so was the pool. If you got placed in the farthest building——the walk to the main lobby was a drag! But the bell/bus boys will come to the rescue!!!! They have golf carts & they will gladly drop you off….just make sure you tip em. Also if you’re going somewhere, just call them first from your rooms & they will pick you up @ the back of your building & they will bring you to the main lobby!
Food wise…..food @ the resort restaurants was ok. Poolside food was actually good! Drinks were awesome!!! 2 FOR 1 after 4pm!!!! Daily games @ pool side was also fun! You have to try their BREAKFAST/Brunch BUFFET!!!! It is awesome!!! Selection is good, have to try their juices! Fresh fruits too! Selections are very good & also healthy!
The Grand Mayan is also on the same premise…we were there too but really….the Mayan Palace will suffice! No need to spend the top $$$ @ the Grand Mayan. Mayan Palace was well kept. The bed sheets were so soft!!! ANd the house keeping lady made the beds everyday!!! She tried to tidy up the rooms too!
But no—she won’t do the dishes! Man!!!
The people are very friendly & cordial! Downtown Puerto Vallarta is like 30 min away…..but it’s worth the drive…..or a use cab! No need to rent car….esp if you’re all adults. You can get a van & split the tab!!! Hard to find parking down town. Taxi is perfect…..but don’t tip the drivers anymore! I was told they make the most $$$! It is almost comprable to our taxi fare here.Try the restaurants downtown…NO NAME CAFE was really good! Don’t buy souvinirs from the stores—get em from the street vendors—but make sure you barter or haggle with em.
Overall experience was awesome. It’s MEXICO! Totally different from the States!!! Our standards in the States are higher, but overall we had an awesome time!
